✔️ Project Complete (July 2025)
As part of the Ripple Effects Capital Campaign, the pews in both the Chapel and Sanctuary were carefully removed, transported off-site, and fully refurbished and restained. Once the stain dried, we added new upholstery to each pew, bringing renewed comfort and beauty to our worship spaces. Following the carpet installation, the restored pews were returned and securely bolted into place, preserving a familiar part of Shallowford’s story while preparing these sacred spaces for generations to come.
During construction, members were invited to “Find a New Pew!” This visitor-friendly campaign encouraged us to move around, try a different seat, meet someone new, and build connections along the way. As our newly restored pews welcome us back, we hope the spirit behind “Find a New Pew!” continues to remind us that sometimes a new seat can lead to a new connection.
