Our Theme

“Everything [In] Between” invites us to navigate the polarities in our lives with more faith, intention, and openness to be transformed. Jesus’ ministry was rooted in relationships that disrupted the established social, political, and religious divides of his time. In this season, we will encourage each other to notice the dichotomies that define our lives, but also imagine where God might be meeting us beyond the categories we create.

All are invited to begin our Lenten journey together with the marking of ashes. We will reflect on the grace we receive and the humility we accept as we hear the words from Genesis: “you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Draw closer to God and fellow Shallowford members by joining a lenten small group. Participants will gather for fellowship around food, then break out into small groups for bible study and discussion focus around the weekly worship theme.

A week of prayer and reflection leading up to Easter

Palm Sunday

April 13, 2025
8:30 & 11:00 am

As we celebrate Jesus entering Jerusalem, we will hear the sounds of the crowd welcoming him. Together, we will wave our palms and add our own voices to the rejoicing, singing and shouting “Hosanna!”

Maundy Thursday

April 17, 2025
12:00 pm & 6:00 pm

We gather to remember the day when Jesus washed the disciples’ feet and instituted the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. You are invited to the chapel at noon for a 30-minute service or to the Great Hall at 6pm for dinner and communion around tables.

Good Friday

April 18, 2025
12:00 pm & 7:00 pm 

An opportunity to pause and rest in the ultimate sacrifice Jesus Christ made for the sake of others. We will gather in the chapel for scripture, silence, and song.

Children’s Egg Hunt

April 19, 2025
10:00am

Three-year-olds through 5th graders are invited to Shallowford’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Join us for the telling of the Easter story, followed by age appropriate egg hunts. Bring your baskets and the whole family! *Rain or Shine

Easter Sunday

6:35 am, Sunrise Service (Ball Field)
We gather for an outdoor service to begin the celebration with communion and community. *Bring your own chair —rain or shine.

7:00-10:30 am, Breakfast (Great Hall)
Join us for a complimentary Easter breakfast — No RSVP required.

8:30 am, Early Worship (Chapel)
Celebrate the Good News of Easter with special music and celebration. 

11:00 am, Service for the Lord’s Day (Sanctuary & livestream)
Celebrate the Good News of Easter with our adult and youth choirs, and special instrumentalists.
