Students and faculty in the 11 schools of St. Francis Parish are experiencing the stress of Final Exams! From June 15 to June 26, students in Grades 4 – 13 will be tested in order to complete their academic year and progress to the next grade.
In addition to school finals, there are National Exams required of 9th and 13th graders; these exams are administered by the Ministry of Education. Successful ninth graders receive a diploma for completion of the Fundamental level of education; this permits them to continue from middle school to high school or a trade school. Successful high school students in the 54 or “Terminal” class (54 = Grade 13; 9 years of Fundamental plus 4 years of Secondary) may continue on to University.
