It may seem much too morbid to be discussing death, but death is a reality of life. In this class, we hope to ground ourselves in our faith, moving away from thinking of death as a foreboding or taboo subject and instead drawing near to God and trusting more fully in Christ’s eternal love.
The class aims to help you and your loved ones plan for death, to consider decisions about worship, as well as practical matters that will be important at your death. By making plans ahead of time, with careful thought and prayer, your loved ones will be freed from the stress of decision making at a very emotional time. They can then focus on giving thanks for your life, experience grief without the burden of many tasks to accomplish, and celebrate God’s promise of resurrection, even in a sorrowful time.
