Shallowford is excited to participate, alongside other volunteer groups, in Habitat for Humanity DeKalb’s Playhouse Olympics, part of the Third Annual Blue Jeans, BBQ, and Blueprints Festival in downtown Tucker.

We’re inviting volunteers to join us for an hour or the entire afternoon as we build a special playhouse for a very deserving child. Our theme this year is Farm & Wildlife, and there’s a role for everyone! Your time and energy will help create a space filled with joy, imagination, and love.

Meet This Year’s Recipient: Mahogany

Mahogany is a joyful three-year-old and the youngest of five siblings. Her mom, Zakeya, shares that Mahogany loves spending time outdoors—especially at playgrounds—and has a deep curiosity about animals, birds, and wildlife. She delights in sharing fun facts with family and friends!

This playhouse will give Mahogany a space of her own to imagine, explore, and host playdates. With her birthday just around the corner, it will also be a meaningful and memorable gift she’ll cherish.
